These 2-ingredient carnivore chaffles are a quick and satisfying way to enjoy a savory, high-fat breakfast that fits perfectly into a ketogenic or carnivore lifestyle.
Made with just eggs and shredded cheddar cheese, they crisp up beautifully in a waffle maker and deliver a cheesy, protein-packed bite with almost zero carbs. Ideal for busy mornings, these chaffles can be eaten on their own, topped with butter, or used as a base for savory toppings like bacon or sausage.
They're best enjoyed fresh but can also be made ahead and reheated throughout the week.
• ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
• 2 large eggs
1. Preheat the waffle maker to medium-high heat.
2. Whisk the eggs in a mixing bowl. Add the cheese, and stir until combined.
3. Pour batter into the waffle maker once it's hot. Close and cook for 4-5 minutes until done. Repeat, if needed, until all batter cooks.
4. Serve immediately or store leftovers in the fridge for 3–5 days.
Note: Chaffles will crisp as they cool, so don’t worry if they seem soft when first removed from the waffle maker.
